These are all textile cards sent to Carol on her birthday. The top one also happens to have been inspired by Ton Schulten and was made by Janine.
Ann was fortunate enough to be able to go on a short course with Kefyn Burgess where they all saw how the expert does it. He has 2 embellisher machines, one is the Janome Expression and she wasn't sure what make the other one was, but it did have 7 needles. They had the opportunity of trying out both machines and they also used a hand tool. The work below was made by Ann during the course and they look very good, considering she doesn't have a machine and it was the first time she had used one.

Lots of Eye Candy
We had a wonderful SerenTex meeting again this afternoon, especially so for myself as I've had to miss a few recently.
There were more textile pieces inspired by Ton Schulten.
Here is Gwyneth's lovely work.
A close-up of the above work.
All the above is Carol's work which she brought in to show us, not quite completed yet, but looking lovely.
Blogger is painfully slow tonight, but it's probably my internet connection that is to blame. I will show more tomorrow.

Missed meeting
I'm afraid I had to miss another SerenTex meeting and it was a really special one too. It was Carol's birthday party at a local restaurant known for it's lovely meals. She had cards from everyone and a lovely bunch of flowers as you see from the picture. I'd made her an Art Journal which she was very pleased with.
I can see all those clean plates, so the food must have been up to it's usual standards.
This is one of the sweets, doesn't it look nice?
I must thank Mary for taking the photos so I could share a little of the fun. I think there are photos of the textile cards made for Carol and I shall blog them as soon as I can. I understand there was a lovely variety.
