It look as if Mary has taken over the Bakery section from Rhiannon who regularly feeds us with lovely cakes. But no, she hasn’t. She’s mixing some plaster to create some very unusual fabrics using stencils, stamps, stitching and masking tape. Then we all tried our own, but as they are in shades of cream and white it was not worth taking photos of them. Next meeting we will be adding colour to them. Mary was inspired by a book called Get Plastered by Maggie Smith.
In the meantime have another peep at some of the work that will be exhibited at the Rhuthin Library Gallery from May 15th to June 19th.
Here are some details of the work you will see if you visit our exhibition.
This is Joan’s WIP. She herself is not very keen on it, but it’s going to be wonderful when it’s finished.

I want to come to your exhibition...what fabulous ideas you ladies have. I especially like that the works have just selected parts of objects in them...makes me want to see around corners; to see more.
Well done to all your group.
You're welcome Ali, it's only a little hop :)
I really love what you all do in the group. Lovely workshops. And these sneak peaks... Can't wait to see more.
Thanks Corryna. I promise you and Ali, that I will let you look round the corners when the exhibition begins :)
Mary's workshop looks intriguing and sounds great fun, and those exhibits are stunning. Wish I lived near enough to come and see them for myself.
I am enjoying your lovely pics -looking forward to seeing the "plaster" with colour :-)
Cheers Britt in Australia :-)
