Serendipity/SerenTex

Our original group was made up of six members who met on a City and Guild Embroidery Course. Most of us completed our four year course and wanted to carry on meeting. So Serendipity was born!

We all belong to our local Embroiderers Guild and acquired more members in time(although this was not our original intention, it just happened)
We have several skills between us - Textiles, Embroidery, Felting , Quilting and Patchwork, Digital Textile Designing, Gold Work, Banner Making and Doll Making. We are very happy to try anything !
We are all Textile Artists and we meet twice a month when we have wokshops and take part in a group project once or twice a year. One group work was given to the local church and another project hangs in a local hospice.
In the future we would like to hold an exhibition of our work and are planning more projects with this in mind.

We have changed the name of the group to SerenTex. 'Seren' happens to be the Welsh word for star and we thought this more suitable as a name for our new Blog.
