Collage

With Sue’s encouragement we started our new project by choosing a favourite view in North Wales and creating a collage using paper from old magazines, these will hopefully be developed to create some textile work.

The AGM

Here are some photos of the AGM which was held on the 16th of August and I think someone needs to take this admin person in hand!

 SerenTex 001

Here comes Rhiannon with something exciting hiding under greaseproof paper and held in place with clothes pegs. I wonder if there’s a possibility it will escape?

SerenTex 003

As you can see, Janine is desperate to find out what it is.

Would you believe I was too busy eating to take a photo after the wrapper came off?

But someone else insisted on taking a photo of me enjoying it.

Here is the  actual serious part of the afternoon.

Music

First, here's an appology from the blog admininister who has been very careless of late, forgetting to take the camera to meetings etc. etc.
These photos were taken with my mobile phone which I couldn't trnsfer to my new laptop, but buying a Belkin Bluetooth adapter has solved that problem. We had a wonderful workshop with Mary (Spence), she played us different tyes of music which we had to listen to and draw at the same time on large pieces of paper using suitable colours from our oil pastels. It was great fun. these are now going to be developed into textile art.

Mary is not looking very happy with us is she?

This is a beautiful piece of work by Rosemary, which she decided to make for our project using black, white and orange.

This work was started by Joan at Plas Tan y Bwlch during our annual Summer break together and now it's finished and hanging in her great, great granddaughter's room.
