Weaving

This is Rhiannon who is our birthday Girl today. She is so special she had 2 birthday cakes specially made for her by Miriam and Ann. The flowers she's wearing were a gift from Sue who had made them. She also had loads of handmade birthday cards from us all which I forgot to photgraph.

These are the beautiful tiny books Sue made from the samples she made when Carol demonstrated last month.

Here is today's tutor, Trish giving Gaynor some tips on weaving.

We all started on the project, but did not get very far with all the talking and the Birthday Party going on. Trish is our only weaver at the group and creates some wonderful pieces which you will have seen if you follow SerenTex.
Below are the 2 small samples she brought with her today with a book full of samples and handouts for us all.

This post is rather rushed tonight, so I hope there are not too many mistakes in it.

I love Sue's "tiny books" and the weaving looks interesting too ... something I have been tempted to have a go at but never enough hours in the day!
